6 Gathering The Pack

When Cazadores come together with their allies and others of their kind for a Hunt, they form a Pack. When Gathering the Pack, players choose from their Cazador’s Enlisted Companions. When there are multiple Cazadores on a Hunt, each can only choose from their own Enlisted Companions and must choose up to the maximum allowed according to the number of players in the game, see Game Setup.

6.1 Renown & Enlistment

Cazadores are the subjects of legend. Ferocious and unyielding in the face of dire Foes, their deeds earn them Renown. Cazadores trade on their deeds, using it to requisition the resources they require for the next Hunt.

Renown also allows Cazadores to draw the zealous, naive, and unwilling into their service, paying their CompanionsEnlistment cost in Renown. Each Cazador can have up to 5 Companions Enlisted and ready to aid on a Hunt.

However, just as glory can be earned in the Hunt, it can also be lost, and Cazadores can find themselves stretched for supplies and with their staunchest allies deserting the cause. For more, see The Eternal Hunt.

6.2 Cazadores

All Cazadores start the game with a standard array for their Attribute Ratings as outlined below, 0 in every Skill Rating, no Rituals, 1 Weapon of their choice, and Light Armour. Each player can then spend 10 Renown to increase their Attributes or Skills, obtain Weapons, Armour, or Special Gear, and recruit Companions.

Renown must also be spent according to the restrictions below when creating a Cazador, and never exceed the maximum due to Advancement. Improving Attributes, SPD, WNDs, and Skills costs 1 Renown per increment during creation.
